Bolt Pattern Guide
You want new tires. But will the wheels you want fit your vehicle? The first factor to consider is the bolt pattern of your wheels. Even if you find a wheel with the correct backspacing and diameter for your tires, none of that will matter if you can’t bolt it to your 4×4.
A 4×4 vehicle bolt pattern refers to the number of bolts or lugs on a wheel and the distance between them. Specifically, this pattern has four lugs, evenly spaced in a circle around the center of the wheel. It is a popular bolt pattern for SUVs, trucks, and smaller cars.
4×4 bolt patterns are commonly used on SUVs, trucks, and smaller cars. Some examples of vehicles that use this, include the Jeep Wrangler, Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, and Nissan Frontier.
The torque specification for lug nuts on a 4×4 bolt pattern will depend on the specific vehicle and the type of wheel you are using. The torque specification will generally be between 75 and 85 foot pounds.
